Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 3, 2026
AIDEM Technologies LTD ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use The Bible Glow mobile application (the "App") and our related services available at thebibleglow.app.
The App is currently available on the Apple App Store in the United States. Your data is stored and processed in the United States.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used for login, verification, and password reset
- Display name — shown in your profile
- Password — stored as a cryptographic hash (we never store your plain-text password)
Social Login Data
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive:
- Your name and email address (as provided by the sign-in provider)
- A unique provider identifier (we do not receive your social media password)
Audio Recordings
When you use the recording feature, we collect:
- Audio files you choose to upload (sermons, teachings, notes)
- Metadata you provide (title, speaker, category)
Recordings are stored on your device and optionally uploaded to our secure cloud storage for transcription and AI processing.
Chat Messages
When you use the AI Bible Chat feature, we collect your messages and the AI-generated responses. Chat history is stored to allow you to continue conversations.
Trivia & Activity Data
We collect quiz answers, scores, and session data to provide your statistics and track your progress.
Saved Verses & Notes
Bible verses you save and any notes you add are stored to provide your personal collection.
Bible Study Data
Faith preferences you optionally provide, such as denomination and topics of interest. This data may be considered religious or philosophical belief data under certain data protection laws.
Website Analytics
When you visit our website and accept the analytics consent banner, we collect:
- Page views and button clicks (e.g., "Get Premium", "Start Free")
- Browser type and general device information
This data is collected via our website analytics pixel and is used solely to measure marketing campaign effectiveness. No data is collected until you accept. Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage.
Analytics & Crash Reports
By default, we collect anonymous usage data and crash reports to help improve the App:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Usage patterns and feature engagement
- Crash reports and diagnostic data (device model, app state at time of crash, pseudonymous identifier)
This data is collected via our analytics and crash reporting provider. It is first-party analytics only — it is not shared with third parties for advertising and does not require Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent. You can opt out at any time by disabling the "Help Improve The Bible Glow" toggle in Settings > Privacy & Data.
Session & Security Data
For security and audit logging purposes, we automatically collect:
- IP address
- User agent (browser or device identifier)
Advertising & Content Personalization
After you sign in, the App requests your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you grant ATT consent, we may collect:
- Mobile Advertising ID (MAID / IDFA)
- Hashed email address
- IP address
- Conversion events (e.g., registration, subscription purchase)
This data is used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and to personalize promoted content you see on other apps, websites, and platforms through our advertising technology partners. No ads are shown within the App. The data is never sold to third parties. You can revoke ATT consent at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you deny or revoke consent, no identifiers or conversion events are shared with advertising partners going forward.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service — authenticate your account, store your recordings, deliver daily verses, enable Bible chat, and run trivia games
- Process audio — transcribe recordings and generate AI study summaries with key verses and practical applications
- Generate AI content — create daily verse images, spoken devotional podcasts, chat responses, and content classification
- Communicate with you — send verification codes, password reset codes, and important service updates
- Improve the App — understand usage patterns to fix bugs and enhance features (with your consent via in-app privacy toggle)
- Personalization — measure ad campaign effectiveness and personalize promoted content (only with your explicit ATT consent)
- Security and audit logging — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
3. Third-Party Services
We share limited data with the following third-party services to operate the App:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| AI service providers | Transcription, content analysis, and AI-powered features | Chat messages, audio recordings, text content |
| Cloud infrastructure providers | Application hosting, data storage, and content delivery | All app data in transit and at rest |
| Email service providers | Transactional email delivery | Recipient email addresses |
| Analytics and crash reporting providers | App analytics and crash reporting (with your consent via in-app toggle) | Usage events, crash reports, device information |
| Apple | Authentication (when you choose to sign in with Apple) | Authentication tokens (we do not share your data back to Apple) |
| Authentication (when you choose to sign in with Google) | Authentication tokens (we do not share your data back to Google) | |
| Website analytics providers | Website page view and click analytics (with your consent via banner) | Page views, button clicks, browser information |
| Advertising technology partners | Ad conversion measurement and content personalization (with your ATT consent only) | Device identifiers (IDFA), hashed email addresses, IP addresses |
Audio and text sent to our AI service providers are processed according to their respective API data usage policies and are not used to train their models.
With your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we use device identifiers (IDFA), hashed email addresses, and IP addresses for: (a) measuring ad conversion (tracking app installs and purchases from ad campaigns) and (b) personalizing promoted content you see on other apps, websites, and platforms through our advertising technology partners. If you decline the ATT prompt, no identifiers are shared with third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on our cloud infrastructure provider's servers in the United States. We protect your information using:
- Encryption in transit — all data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Encryption at rest — all stored data (database, files, and cached data) is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption
- Password hashing — cryptographic hashing with PBKDF2 via Web Crypto API (we never store plain-text passwords)
- Secure device storage — authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain
- Token-based authentication — JWT with short-lived access tokens and rotated refresh tokens
- Rate limiting — protects against brute-force attacks and abuse
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
- Account data — retained as long as your account is active
- Recordings and transcriptions — retained until you delete them or delete your account
- Chat history — retained until you delete it or your account is closed
- Verification and reset codes — expire after 15 minutes and are not stored long-term
- Analytics data (aggregated) — may be retained indefinitely in anonymized/aggregated form
- Audit logs — retained for security purposes to detect and investigate incidents
When you delete your account (Settings > Privacy & Data > Delete Account), it is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. During a 30-day grace period, you may contact us to recover your account. After 30 days, all personal data — including recordings, audio files, chat conversations, saved verses, and profile information — is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.
